Hours of work:  17.5 hrs per week

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administration:

  • In line with CoAction policies procedures and best practice standards the Administrative Assistant will:

  • Provide admin support, answer queries and provide a reception / telephone service

  • Keep themselves appraised of the relevant documentation/procedures as relevant

  • Manage data – including maintaining, correcting, collating and processing data

  • Maintain accurate up to date records filing systems both computerised and paper copy

  • Assist with and /or prepare reports as necessary

  • Provide required information and support to Service Manager and WCCDNT team members

  • Action all communications in a timely manner

  • Undertake any other administrative support and  assignments as directed

  • Represent the WCCDNT in a positive manner

Qualifications and/or experience

Obtained at least grade D (or pass) in Higher or ordinary level in five subjects in the Department of Education Leaving Certificate Examination or Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme or Leaving Certificate Applied

OR

Passed an examination of at least equivalent standard

OR

Satisfactory relevant experience with encompassed demonstrable equivalent skills

AND

Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and administrative ability

  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience relevant to the role as per the duties and responsibilities, eligibility criteria and post specific requirements of the role.

  • Demonstrates excellent computer skills particularly Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.
